Scaffolding injuries are among the most common types of on the job injuries in the construction industry. [See more under our section on Construction Injuries.] And, in fact, with around 2/3 of construction workers working off scaffolds on a regular basis, this really isn't surprising.
Falling from a scaffold, a scaffold collapsing while someone is one it (or onto someone), or objects falling off of scaffolds and hitting workers below, are all common causes of scaffold injuries.
If an employer failed to follow OSHA or other safety regulations in regard to scaffolding, or if manufacturers made dangerous or defective scaffolding, that could lead to additional actions.
But so long as the injury took place while you were on the job, your resultant expenses and loss of income will be covered by California workers comp insurance.
